The Indianapolis Diesels won their final home game of the regular season Saturday night 120-113 against the Carolina Pee Dee Vipers.

Guard John Hart leading the way with 46 points. Hart hit seven 3-pointers on the night.

I was hired by the Diesels in February of 2010, and the first players I tried to locate were former Ball State players, as I was familiar with their games because I had the chance to see them play in-person. I was able to track down Ames on Facebook, and invite him to a try-out camp.

Indianapolis to 3-1 on the Season

The Indianapolis Diesels won their second consecutive game against the Chicago Tide Friday night at home 139-107. Indianapolis scored 42 points in the first quarter to take a 16-point lead.

Chicago was unable to reduce the deficit the rest of the way. Diesel’s forward Jermaine Dearman had a game-high 26 points. Six other Diesels finished in double-figures including David Inabnit with 22 and Greg Foster with 21.

Indianapolis Stays On Track Against Chicago Tide

The Indianapolis Diesels improved to 2-1 on the season after defeating the Chicago Tide 142-128 in its home opener.

The Diesels broke out to a 72-48 advantage at halftime and lead by as many as 30 in the third quarter. The Tide’s comeback attempt in the fourth fell short but did cut the lead to as close as 12 in the final minutes.

Chicago, IL- On Wednesday, May 7th the Premier Basketball League held the first of two planned annual meetings in preparation of the 2015 season at Gibson’s Steakhouse in the heart of Chicago. 56 people were in attendance consisting of current and incoming team owners, sponsors and league officials.

Following a meet and greet, Chairman of the Board, Dr. Severko Hrywnak officially kicked off the meeting with an overview presentation of the 2014 season and the progression of the PBL leading into next season. Dr. Hrywnak’s presentation addressed the current financial state of the PBL, the stability of its teams and the long-term vision of the league.
